How to wear lenses

Put the lens on the pad of your index finger and make sure that the lens is not turned inside out. Pull the lower eyelid with the middle finger of the same hand. With your other hand, pull the upper eyelid and lay the lens on the pupil. Carefully lower your eyelids, blink and the lens will snap into place.

How to remove lenses

Lift your eyes up and pull the lower eyelid with your middle finger. With your index finger, slide the lens from the pupil to the white of the eye. Gently hold the lens between your thumb and index finger and remove it from the eye.

Remove the right lens and lay it on the palm of your hand. Apply a few drops of contact lens cleaning solution to the outer and inner surfaces of the lens and gently rub them with the index finger of your other hand for 15 seconds (this rule does not apply for colored contact lenses).

Rinse both surfaces of the lens thoroughly with cleaning solution to remove all traces of deposits. Put the right lens in the appropriate compartment of the container, fill the container with cleaning solution and close the lid tightly.

Repeat the same procedure for the left lens.

Some important rules:

  Clean lenses after the removal, not before putting them on;

  To avoid confusion, always pick up one lens at a time. Most people start with the right lens;

  After you remove the lenses from the container, pour out the used solution, wash the container and dry it;

•  Do not replace the universal solution for cleaning, disinfecting and storing contact lenses with regular saline! Saline does not have disinfectant properties;

  Use contact lens care products before the date indicated on the package;

  Do not use saliva to clean lenses;

  Put lenses on before applying makeup. If possible, use water-based cosmetics;

  When swimming, it is better not to use lenses, or use glasses for swimming;

  Lenses must always be in excellent condition! Any damage to contact lenses requires replacement. It is also necessary to observe the recommended use time

  Strictly follow the  ophthalmologist recommendations on your contact lens care.

Causes of Contact Lens Damage

Central tears can occur with:

 – lens cleaning with strong circular motions;

 – opening lenses during adhesion.

Edge damage can occur:

 – with a strong pressure from the tweezers;

 – with a container lid when the lens is improperly inserted;

 – when contact lenses stick to the side wall of a flat container;

 – with drying of contact lenses with an insufficient amount of solution in the container;

 – also, the lens can be damaged by nails when removing or cleaning.

What can be done in the lenses, and what to refrain from:

  When you are wearing lenses, be careful when using hairspray, deodorants, and perfumes in aerosol containers or close your eyes while spraying. Try not to stand near those who use aerosols.
In general, remember that the use of aerosols is very harmful to the environment, so try not to use them at all!

  If you get a cold or have a seasonal allergy, it’s best to temporarily replace your lenses with glasses.

  You can wash your face and take a shower while wearing lenses, the main thing is to not look up at the stream of water, otherwise the lenses can simply float away.

  If you are constantly in a smoky room, your lenses may not like it, they can change color and lose their properties.

  If you need to use makeup, try to choose the highest quality one: mascara should not crumble, the shadows should be finely ground without coarse particles, and the eyeliner should not spread.
If you have sensitive eyes, use hypoallergenic or special cosmetics for those who wear contact lenses.

  You can ride a horse, play active games, and dance wearing your lenses! :))
